摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distance measuring device, which measures a distance to an object based on reflection reflected from the object, capable of excellently detecting each object having a different reflectance ratio without being provided with a light receiving element having a wide dynamic range. <P>SOLUTION: In a driving support system 1, a light receiving section 15 receives reflection, which can be obtained when a light wave from a light emitting section 14 emitting the light wave is reflected by an object, and outputs in response to light intensity of the reflection. A radar control section 11 calculates a distance to the object which reflects the light wave based on an output of each light receiving subsection of the light receiving section 15 which has a plurality of light receiving subsections 15a to 15c with different sensitivities. Therefore, the present invention is capable of expanding a range of the light intensity of the reflection that the light receiving section 15 can detect as is a case with other light receiving section having a wide dynamic range.
