<p>The invention relates to a support for a truck bumper, which absorbs energy and provides motor vehicle underrun protection in the event of a collision. The invention is formed by a trapezoidal structure defined by a bar for securing same to the chassis, a bumper-supporting bar, a front tension-compression bar and a rear tension-compression bar joined to one another at the ends thereof, such that the above-mentioned bar for securing to the chassis is rigidly connected to the chassis of the truck, the bumper-supporting bar is rigidly connected to the truck bumper, and the front tension-compression bar is shorter than the rear tension-compression bar.</p> |
