PURPOSE: An image forming apparatus is provided to prevent the generation of image defect regardless of use condition of developer. CONSTITUTION: A controlling unit(60) executes an operation of a developer carrier in image forming period. The image forming period is period for forming an image in a plurality of recording materials. A first period is a period for passing through a developing location at interval between recording material and post-recording material. A second period is a period for passing through a developing location. |
