The steaming treatment insert (3) has a bottom part (14) and a lid (15) attachable to the base part in a vapor-tight manner. A vapor inlet port (16) is provided, where a vapor outlet port (17) is spaced apart from the vapor inlet port. The vapor inlet port and the vapor outlet are arranged on opposite sides of the steaming treatment insert. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a cooking appliance with a trigger mechanism; and (2) a system with a hose.
