PURPOSE: A head up display device for projecting an image on a screen is provided to reduce the brightness difference between the center and peripheral portions of a projected image. CONSTITUTION: A head up display device projects an image on a display screen(90). A liquid crystal display device creates an original image. A light source(20) emits light to the liquid crystal display device from the backside. A reflective mirror(40) reflects the optical image of the original image passing through the liquid crystal display device and projects the optical image as a projected image on the display screen. A cylindrical concave lens(50) has a concave surface(51) and is arranged between the liquid crystal display device and the reflective mirror. |
