PURPOSE: A method for measuring concentration of mercury is provided to distinguish elementary mercury or mercury oxide by controlling vapor. CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring concentration of mercury comprises: a step of adsorbing elementary mercury and mercury oxide in an analyte; a step of irradiating the adsorbent by microwave under inactive atmosphere gas to measure the amount of detached elementary mercury; and a step of irradiating the adsorbent by microwave under reducible atmosphere gas to measure detached mercury oxide. The inactive atmosphere gas is helium, nitrogen, argon, or mixture thereof. The reducible atmosphere gas is hydrogen, formaldehyde, or hydrocarbon. |
