PURPOSE: An inverter arc protection apparatus is provided to steadily execute a lighting action of a display device by discharging an arc and preventing the arc to be triggered by mistake. CONSTITUTION: A conveying unit(102) transfers a driving voltage of an inverter. A latch unit(104) shuts down the inverter by latching the driving voltage of the inverter when an arc is generated. An arc protection unit(106) transfers the driving voltage of the inverter provided by the conveying unit. The arc protection unit turns off an operation of the latch unit and discharges the arc when the arc is generated. A current supply means provides a driving current of the inverter. A first rectification unit rectifies the driving current of the inverter. A first storing means stores the rectified driving current. A first current control means controls the rectified driving current.
