A method for determination of temperature of contact interaction of surfaces of a friction unit includes loading of friction unit with simultaneous determination of characteristics by which one makes conclusions on temperature of contact interaction of surfaces of friction unit, at that as such characteristics one registers emission of signals of acoustic emission, and temperature of contact interaction of the surfaces of friction unit one determines by averaged amplitude of registered resulting signal of acoustic emission.
