An animation generation and reproduction method using a run-length coding technique in a mobile communication terminal is provided to be capable of compressing/storing each frame image which constitutes an animation according to the run-length coding technique through comparison between the current frame image and a previous frame image, and of releasing the compressed images to reproduce the images, thereby saving memory spaces of the terminal. Data of each pixel between a current frame image and a previous frame image are compared(S20-S22). The same pixel data are compressed by a run-length coding technique by using the compared results so that the compressed pixel data are stored as data of the current frame image(S23-S26). The respective frame images are compressed/stored to generate an animation(S27,S28). |
