The device (1) has a frame (2) for defining a cradle-shaped recess (3) that receives a container, and a wire made of metallic material and covered with plastic material. An arm and another arm (4b) are respectively associated to one portion and another portion (2b) of the frame. The arms are provided with two sets of interlocking elements (5a, 5b) for associating the device to sides (11a, 11b) of a shelf (11) of a refrigerator. The two sets of interlocking elements are connected together using rods (6a, 6b). An independent claim is also included for a method for positioning a container supporting device inside a refrigerator.
