<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for designing a tag for controlling the solubility of a protein. <P>SOLUTION: A solubility control tag is designed on the basis of data read out from a data base memorizing the amino acid sequences of soluble proteins and insoluble proteins. The device counts the appearance number of amino acid-similar group sequences in the N-terminals of the soluble proteins and the insoluble proteins, respectively, determining a frequently appearing amino acid-similar group sequence on the basis of appearance frequency of amino acid-similar sequences in the N-terminals of soluble proteins, when designing a solubilization tag, determining an amino acid sequence corresponding to the frequently appearing amino acid-similar group sequence from amino acid sequences read out from the N-terminals of soluble proteins, counting up the number of appearances for each kind of amino acid in each place in the amino acid sequence, and then determining, as a solubilization tag, an amino acid sequence comprising the combination of amino acids most appearing at each place. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
