<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device for a passenger seat, in order to solve the following problem of a conventional technology having a separate door part: there is a need to select combinations of resins with high coupling strength so as to prevent an airbag from being disengaged and protruding in the car during inflation of the airbag, to properly manage two-color molding conditions to eliminate quality variation, and to stably produce an airbag cover having high strength. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag device for the passenger seat includes: an airbag; an inflator for supplying expansion gas to the airbag; a retainer 4 which houses the airbag, and has an inflation development opening of the airbag; and a lid 1 for covering the expansion development opening. The retainer 4 includes an insertion piece 5 and a lock piece 6, extending with a direction crossing the developing direction of the airbag set as a longitudinal direction. The lid 1 includes: a holding piece 2 for holding the insertion piece 5 on the rear surface; and an engaging piece 3 engaged with the lock piece 6. The retainer 4 moves along the rear surface of the lid 1 to be slide-engaged with the holding piece 2. In the holding position of the insertion piece 5, the lock piece 6 and the engaging piece 3 are engaged with each other to fix the lid 1 and the retainer 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
