<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a function generation circuit that can suppress a manufacturing-variation based deviation of an inflection point of a control signal for vibrating a quartz vibrator. <P>SOLUTION: The function generation circuit for outputting a control voltage Vc for an oscillation circuit 30 to vibrate a quartz vibrator 35 in accordance with an ambient temperature includes a temperature detection circuit 2 for outputting a detection voltage corresponding to the ambient temperature with a linear temperature characteristic, and an addition/subtraction circuit 12 for adding up an output of a zeroth-order component generation circuit 4, an output of a first-order component generation circuit 5 and an output of a third-order component generation circuit 16, and selectively adding or subtracting an output of a second-order component generation circuit 11 to generate the control voltage Vc.
