<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb structure usable as a carrier of a catalytic converter excellent in cleaning performance of the exhaust gas discharged from a gasoline engine. <P>SOLUTION: The honeycomb structure includes the porous partitions 5 that compart and form a plurality of cells 4 being the flow channels of a fluid extending from an upstream edge to a downstream edge. The partitions 5 that compart and form the cells 4 are bent in the cross section at which the end of upstream edge is cut perpendicular to the flow direction of the fluid, and the wall thickness of the bent side comprising the bent partition 5 is smaller than that of a portion except the bent side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
