<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need of suppressing a charge/discharge current of a battery due to temperature rise of the battery when traveling an uphill, regarding a battery charge/discharge controller of a hybrid electric vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: An engine 1, a motor generator 4 and a battery 40 are provided, and the battery charge/discharge controller includes: means 60 for acquiring a vehicle front road situation; means 30a for determining whether or not there is an uphill in front of a vehicle on the basis of the road situation in front of the vehicle; and control means 30e for, when determined that there is an uphill, estimating the post-uphill temperature of the battery 40 after traveling the uphill from a battery temperature and a battery temperature rise in the case of traveling a section of the uphill by utilizing torque for traveling of the motor generator 4, calculating a traveling distance of the vehicle required for lowering the post-uphill temperature to an upper limit temperature by charge/discharge limitation in the case that the post-uphill temperature exceeds the upper limit temperature of the battery 40, and lowering the battery temperature by the charge/discharge limitation of the battery 40 in the stage that the vehicle is the traveling distance before an uphill start point. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
