<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse travel position detection circuit that can detect a travel position of a pulse signal with high precision and can be installed in a limited space, an A/D conversion circuit therewith, and a solid state image pickup element using the A/D conversion circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The pulse travel position detection circuit includes: a pulse travel circuit in which delay circuits of the same configuration comprising a plurality of delay elements for delaying a pulse signal with a delay time depending on an applied power supply or a current supply corresponding to the power supply are coupled in a plurality of stages forming a series loop such that at least one feed-forward circuit is formed; and a latch circuit for detecting an output signal output from each of the plurality of delay circuits and outputting held information as information on travel position. Each delay circuit comprises a first delay element and a second delay element having a different structure. A startup signal to start travel of a pulse signal is input into at least one delay circuit, and a predetermined fixed voltage is input into the other delay circuits at least as long as a pulse signal travels. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
