<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inductor of simple structure in which a desired multi-step DC superposition properties on the inductance value can be obtained. <P>SOLUTION: An inductor 1 comprises a bobbin-shaped core 2, and winding 9. The core 2 is split into two split cores 2-1, 2-2. Permeability of the split core 2-1 is set higher than the permeability of the split core 2-2. These split cores 2-1, 2-2 are bonded by a nonmagnetic layer 6 of nonmagnetic adhesive.
