<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inflator mounting structure for an airbag for a front passenger seat, the inflator mounting structure being configured in such a manner that a metallic case for housing the airbag is compact and that the inflator and the metallic case are joined together with increased rigidity. <P>SOLUTION: The inflator 6 is disposed so that, in a plane view, a side 9c of a substantially square connecting line 9b formed by connecting bolts 9 is tilted relative to the sidewall 4a of a metallic case 4, and so that the weld 13 at which a mounting bracket 5 is welded to the metallic case 4 includes in a triangular region 15 formed by the side 9c of the connecting line 9b and the corner 4g of the metallic case 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
