<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video intercom device performing power supply to external equipment connected to a slave unit and operation control from a master unit, and notifying the master unit of a state of the external equipment. <P>SOLUTION: Each signal transmission line for a call signal and a response signal modulated/demodulated and transmitted/received between a slave unit CPU 117 of a slave unit 1 and a master unit CPU 217 of a master unit 2, a video signal obtained by imaging by a camera 101 of the slave unit and modulated/demodulated and displayed on a monitor 201 of the master unit, and a sound signal modulated/demodulated and transmitted/received between a slave unit microphone 102 and a slave unit speaker 103 of the slave unit and a master unit microphone 202 and a master unit speaker 203 of the master unit, and a slave unit/master unit line L1 serving as a power supply path from a master unit power supply circuit 215 of the master unit to a slave unit rectification circuit 115 of the slave unit, are utilized to supply power to external equipment 3 connected to the slave unit via a slave unit/external equipment line L2. An external equipment control signal generated by the master unit CPU of the master unit is transmitted to perform operation control of the external equipment.
