<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil component whose Q-characteristics is improved by further reducing excess current loss, and a mounting structure for a terminal electrode. <P>SOLUTION: A coil component includes a core part 3 around which conductor wire is wound, and a flange part 4 disposed at an end portion of the core part 3; and a terminal electrode 6 which is disposed to the flange part 4, and to which an end portion of the conductor wire is connected. The flange part 4 has a mounting surface 41 opposed to a mounting substrate and substantially parallel to a shaft of the core part 3. The terminal electrode 6 has a mounting part 61 disposed on the mounting surface 41 and mounted on the mounting substrate. On the mounting part 61, an edge part 61B extending in a second direction intersecting an axial direction is defined at a terminal position in a first direction directed from the flange part 4 to the core part 3, and a notch 61a notched from the edge part 61B in a direction opposite to the first direction is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
