<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head having improved reliability and stability and a disk device having this head. <P>SOLUTION: According to the present embodiment, a head 40 comprises: a head slider 42 having a support face 43 facing the surface of a recording medium and caused to float by an air current generated between the surface of the recording medium and the support face; and a recording element 65 and reproduction element 66 provided in the outflow side end part of the head slider with respect to the air current. The support face of the head slider comprises a first pressure generation part 53 provided on the inflow side end part with respect to the air current and configured to generate pressure, a second pressure generating part 63 provided on the outflow side end part and partly exposing the recording element and reproduction element, and a third pressure generation part 72 provided in the widthwise central part of the support face and between the first and second pressure generation parts and configured to generate pressure higher than the first pressure generation part and lower than the second pressure generation part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
