<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which enables power saving and improvement of operability. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises: an imaging element which obtains image data by photoelectric conversion of a subject image; a multiple imaging mode which generates image data obtained by composing plural pieces of image data obtained by plural times of imaging; and power source control means which automatically turns off the power source when a state in which no instruction is given from outside during a power-on state continues for a predetermined period.
