The invention relates to an infrared radiation (IR)-absorbing polymer composition containing a transparent thermoplastic material, an inorganic infrared absorber (IR absorber), an optional inorganic nanoscale pigment, and a combination of at least one organic colorant having a special structure. The invention also relates to the production and use of the claimed polymer compositions and to the products made therefrom. The invention particularly relates to compositions having high stability - especially also high color stability - against weathering in both the visible range and the IR range. The invention further relates to the use of the claimed polymer composition containing said IR absorber/colorant combinations to produce panes for use in buildings, motor vehicles, and railroad vehicles or aircraft.
