A method for automatically performing configuration actions on a virtual machine running a first application by collecting information from one system running in production mode a second application the configuration action allowing the first and second application to cooperate, said method comprising creating a publishing surrogate socket on behalf of the production system by importing the socket model of the virtual machine and completing with all the necessary system information.
