<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure an opportunity for determining an abnormality. <P>SOLUTION: An ECU determines that an engine is abnormal when an atmospheric pressure is a first value, and an operation state represented by either an engine speed NE or a load is within a predetermined region.
