A battery module (100) in which a plurality of unit cells are arranged and housed within a case (10), wherein: a positive electrode external terminal (20) and a negative electrode external terminal (21) connected to the electrodes in the plurality of unit cells are arranged in parallel at a prescribed interval on the first side surface (11) of the case (10); a pair of grooves (30, 31) are formed at the same prescribed interval from one another on the second side surface (12), adjacent to the first side surface (11) of the case (10); and the first part (51) of an L-shaped electrode piece (50) is selectively attachable to the positive electrode external terminal (20) or the negative electrode external terminal (21), and the second part (52) is selectively attachable to either one of the grooves (30, 31) in the pair thereof.
