<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit capable of easily and highly accurately performing drive control of a driving source while retaining an inexpensive configuration, and to provide an image forming apparatus including the same. <P>SOLUTION: A drive unit 160 includes: a driving source 161 for driving loading means 150; detecting means 162 for detecting a home position HP, or a criterion of a control timing for driving the loading means 150 by the driving source 161; and control means 200 for controlling the driving source 151 to drive the loading means 150 based on the home position HP detected by the detecting means 162. In the drive unit 160, a load fluctuation point βp is preset based on a load characteristic α that represents the dimension of the load to the loading means 150 by the driving force from the driving source 161, and the detecting position of the home position HP by the detecting means 162 is located at the load fluctuation point βp. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
