The invention relates to a heat-shrinkable polyester film, having a heat shrinkage initiation temperature of 60°C or lower, a glass transition temperature of 77°C or lower, and a heat shrinkage of 2% or higher at a temperature of 60°C. The glass transition temperature and heat shrinkage initiation temperature of the heat-shrinkable polyester film of the present invention are lower than those of existing polyester films, and therefore may be suitable for use as a label for an HDPE container or the like.
