The sensing unit (2) has a primary light sensor (7) and a secondary light sensor (8) for measuring the brightness. The primary light sensor is arranged below a snow collection area. The secondary light sensor is arranged in a region in which snow is not settled or the snow affecting the measurement of secondary light sensor is removed from the secondary light sensor. The presence of the snow is determined by comparing the brightness values measured by the primary and secondary light sensors.
