METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF POLYVINYL ALCOHOL GEL SYSTEM

There is offered new composition of mechanically stable polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) gel systems (matrices) and obtaining method thereof which pertains to field of medicine, especially to production of dressings for accidental tissue/skin damage.These systems contain PVA. For obtaining them technologically the process of freezing-thawing is applied, characterized in that plasticizers, lower alcohols or preservatives are not additionally introduced to the composition, but function of plasticizer is performed by water which during the cycles of freezing-thawing is not removed out of system because the technological method of system’s obtaining by freezing-thawing is performed in closed environment. The mentioned method needn’t keeping intermediate temperature and optimal durability of freezing-thawing process cycle is 1 to 12 hours. The offered obtaining method of systems contains uses of cotton fiber material as carrier layer which facilitate system’s fixation to a certain part of the body. Composition of mentioned gel system could be accomplished combining PVA with corresponding polysaccharides. Parameters of the freezing-thawing process also could be changed.
