An invalid chair has an adjustable leg support comprising telescopic parts 1, 2, the lower part 2 carrying a foot support 3 and being hingedly connected to a clamping guide rod 5 by means of an adjustable clamping sleeve 4, the upper part 1 being pivoted to the chair frame R near the seating surface. The inclination of the guide rod 5 is such that the leg support is telescopically elongated when lifted and shortened when lowered. The guide rod 5 slides in bearings 6,7 and can be fixed in any desired position by a clamping device. |
