PURPOSE: An electrochromic element and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to obtain stable current characteristic while reducing a processing temperature and to increase the reliability of an electrochromic element. CONSTITUTION: A first electrode is faced with a second electrode. An electrochromic layer(34) is located between the first electrode and the second electrode. Electrolytes(35) are located between the first electrode and the second electrode. The electrolyte is touched by the electrochromic layer. The electrochromic layer includes a plurality of oxide semiconductor particles(34a).
