PURPOSE: A transmitter for transmitting content data, a receiver for receiving the data, and a method thereof are provided to restrict reproduction of non-real time data until the real time data is received. CONSTITUTION: A data processing unit(240) receives real time data. The data processing unit detects non-real time data. The data processing unit combines the detected non-real time data with the received real time data. The data processing unit outputs multimedia content. A controlling unit(250) controls the data processing unit in order to output the non-real time data.
