The valve drive system (1) has a support (2) whose underside (3) is provided with a longitudinal row of receptacles (4) in which support elements (5) are positioned upside-down. The head (6) of each support element is connected to lever-like cam follower (7) provided below the receptacle. The support is designed as cylinder head cover. An independent claim is included for method for assembling valve drive system.
