The present invention relates to an apparatus for treating ship ballast water, comprising: a filter unit interposed between a seawater inlet port and a ballast tank to filter ballast water which is seawater during the process of permitting seawater introduced via the seawater inlet port to flow into the ballast tank by a ballast pump; an electrolysis unit which performs an electrolysis process of the ballast water while the ballast water passed through the filter unit is passing through an inlet unit shaped as a branch pipe before the ballast water is introduced into the ballast tank, and which supplies the thus-produced electrolyte to a ballast water pipeline; and an electrolyte stirring device which mixes the electrolyte passed through the electrolysis unit and the ballast water passed through the filter unit and enables the mixture to be introduced to the ballast tank through the ballast water pipeline. The ballast water is pumped from the ballast tank by the ballast pump, and re-sterilized by the electrolysis unit when the ballast water is being discharged through a seawater outlet port.
