<p>The present invention discloses a method for realizing a cross-protocol voice-to-fax service. The method includes the following steps: during the process of voice communication between a first mobile terminal (MT) and a second MT, the first MT initiates, according to a voice-to-fax indication, fax service negotiation to a first base station controller (BSC) connecting with the first MT and switches to the fax service after completing the negotiation; the first BSC transmits the voice-to-fax indication to a second BSC connecting with the second MT; according to the voice-to-fax indication, the second BSC initiates fax service negotiation to the second MT on the basis of multiple fax protocols one by one until the negotiation succeeds, and then switches to the fax service on the basis of the fax protocol agreed by both sides, wherein the multiples fax protocols are supported by the second BSC. The invention also discloses a system and BSC for realizing a cross-protocol voice-to-fax service. Applying the invention improves the success rate of the voice-to-fax service in a mobile communication system.</p> |
