The method involves preparing a housing that is arranged in a joint (3) which is compressed between a clamp (2) and a cap (1). Right section of the housing is conjugated or complemented with a section of a cable that is intended to pass in the housing. An orifice is drilled in an upper compression disc that is disposed opposite to the housing and interposed between the cap and the joint. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a cable gland intended to ensure airtight passage of cable (b) a cable gland mounting kit.
