COLOR FILTER FOR TRANSFLECTIVE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter for a transflective liquid crystal display device, capable of improving brightness of a reflected light area.

SOLUTION: A color filter for a transflective liquid crystal display device comprises a transparent substrate having irregularities formed on the transparent substrate, and a colored layer formed on the transparent substrate so as to cover the transparent substrate. And the color filter for the transflective liquid crystal display device uses the transparent substrate and the colored layer formed in a recess of the transparent substrate as a transmitted light area, and uses the transparent substrate and the colored layer formed on a protrusion of the transparent substrate as a reflected light area. Moreover, the color filter for the transflective liquid crystal display device comprises the protrusion of the transparent substrate having an optical path difference adjusting function.
