<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact cylinder apparatus with a booster mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: An output rod (2) is inserted in a housing (1) so as to be moved up and down. A first piston (21) inserted in the upper part of the housing (1) is fixed to the output rod (2) and a second piston (22) inserted in the lower upper part of the housing (1) is externally fit on the output rod (2) so as to be moved up and down. A lock chamber (25) is arranged between the first piston (21) and the second piston (22). A first release chamber (31) is arranged above the first piston (21), and a second release chamber (32) is arranged below the second piston (21). Pressure fluid is supplied to and discharged from the chambers (25, 31, 32). The engaging ball (40) of the booster mechanism (36) reverses a force of the pressure fluid pushing the second piston (22) downward to a force turning upward, and also transmits the force to the output rod (2) after booster conversion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
