<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die-casting machine that can accurately detect the sliding resistance of an injection plunger in an injection sleeve with high precision and by which high quality casting products can be obtained, and a method for detecting die-casting machine abnormalities. <P>SOLUTION: The die-casting machine is provided with a cylindrical injection sleeve 18 supplied with molten metal and an injection plunger chip 15a attached to an injection plunger 15 that moves back and forth in the injection sleeve 18. The die-casting machine uses at least an electric servomotor 9 as a driving source in an injection step where the molten metal is injected to fill the inside of a cavity of a closed metal mold by the forward motion of the injection plunger 15. The die-casting machine includes a torque detection means 32 that detects the torque of the electric servomotor 9 that moves the injection plunger 15 forward and an abnormality detection means 33 that determines that an abnormality has occurred in the forward operation of the injection plunger 15 when a measured value detected by the torque detection means 32 is a value that exceeds a preset threshold value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
