<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for preparing carbamatoorganosilane proceeding from chloroorganosilane, which no longer has disadvantages of the prior arts. <P>SOLUTION: The process for preparing carbamatoorganosilane (S) comprises making haloorganosilane (S1) react with a metal cyanate and an alcohol (A) in the presence of at least one kind of aprotic solvent (L). In the method, at least 50% of the solvent (L) is removed by distillation prior to solid separation of metal halides formed as by-products and of any metal cyanide residues still present. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
