<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable appropriate suction of dust, such as toner generated between a developer carrier and an image carrier, into a dust suction duct. <P>SOLUTION: A development device 20, conveying a developer D by means of a rotating developer carrier 21 to a development zone facing an image carrier 10 for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on the image carrier, includes a dust suction duct 30 disposed between the developer carrier and the image carrier and along the axis direction of the developer carrier, a suction port 34 disposed on one end side in the longitudinal direction of the dust suction duct, dust suction ports 33a and 33b disposed in the suction port at least at an end of the suction port and the other end, and a division plate 35 extending from a position on the suction port side as compared with the dust suction port 33a at the end of the suction port side to the opposite side so as to surround the dust suction port. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
