<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for constructing a foundation with utmost use of an existing pile and existing foundation in foundation construction using a combination of existing and new piles, by adjusting the method for joining an existing pile head and existing foundation to a new foundation according to a degree of soundness of the existing pile and stress to be generated after construction of a new building. <P>SOLUTION: A construction method for a new pile and foundation using an existing pile, an existing pile cap located on the top of the pile, and an existing bottom slab comprises making an opening in the existing bottom slab for installing the new pile, and allowing the joint between the existing pile cap or a part of the existing pile cap and the new foundation to be adjusted between a rigid joint and a pin joint or to be completely separated according to soundness of the existing pile. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
