<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve charging performance in the whole image forming system in an image forming system by a tandem method in which a plurality of image forming apparatuses having a charging function are connected in series. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming system by a tandem method in which first to third image forming apparatuses are connected in series and paper passes through the first to third image forming apparatuses. In the image forming system, the second and third image forming apparatuses to the upstream side of which the image forming apparatus is connected in a paper carrying direction transmit a paper discharge notification signal indicating the discharge of paper from its own apparatus, to the image forming apparatus connected to the upstream side. When receiving the paper discharge notification signal from the image forming apparatus connected to the downstream side, the first and second image forming apparatuses to the downstream side of which the image forming apparatus is connected in a paper carrying direction update a charge counter value based on the image forming operation at their own apparatuses on paper corresponding to the paper discharge notification signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
