<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parasitic sensor with an antenna having an optimum antenna shape. <P>SOLUTION: The change of a scattered wave due to a change in impedance, i.e. a differential scattering cross-section, depends on the impedance of a sensor element, the impedance of an antenna, and the antenna gain. The differential scattering cross-section is calculated from measured impedances of the sensor element and the antenna, and an antenna shape which maximizes the differential scattering cross-section in the frequency band used is employed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
