<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of confirming by a user that printed matter can be output without launching an application in each time or moving back and forth between a personal computer on his own desk and the image forming apparatus, and capable of enhancing working efficiency of print data output, and capable of avoiding congestion in the vicinity of the image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 3 connected to one or more external terminals (client PCs 1, 2) through the network, having an authentication part 31 for authenticating the user, and starting printing of a job associated with the user authenticated by the authentication part 31 includes a job control part 33 for controlling jobs for each of the users, a control part 32 for referring to the jobs controlled by the job control part 33 and extracting information regarding the job having the highest priority of execution, and an informing part 35 informing the user associated with the job having the highest priority of execution that printing is possible based on the information extracted by the control part 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
