FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: liquid crystal display panel (2) includes: an active matrix substrate (20a) having a plurality of switching elements (5), an insulating film which is formed to protect the switching elements (5) and has through-holes (16a), and a plurality of pixel electrodes (17) formed on the insulating film, which are connected to the switching elements (5) through the through-holes (16a); and an opposite substrate, having photo-dividers (23a) for maintaining thickness of the liquid crystal layer.
