PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the likelihood of erroneous erasure of image data in an image file. SOLUTION: An erroneous erasure determination apparatus is provided which includes an erroneous erasure judging means for judging whether or not there is possibility that image data in an image file have been erroneously erased based on auxiliary information attached thereto which indicates whether or not the image file is recorded in a multi-page format, and information which indicates the number of image data recorded in the image file.
