PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an "on-vehicle imaging apparatus" that composites photographed images of a plurality of cameras mounted on a vehicle, flatly displays an image around the vehicle, and allows the position of the outer shape of the vehicle to be recognized easily from a screen. SOLUTION: Images captured by the plurality of cameras mounted on the vehicle are composited, and the image of the ground 100 is projected flatly for display around an own vehicle display section 150. At the own vehicle display section 150, the actual image of one portion of the vehicle is displayed in a front area A2, a rear area B2, a left area D2, and a right area E2. An illustration image 162 of the vehicle is displayed at a portion surrounded by the actual images. The actual images of the vehicle are displayed at the outer-peripheral portion of the own vehicle display section 150, thereby enabling an operator who views a display screen to easily recognize the positional relationships between the outer-peripheral portion of the actual vehicle 1 and an obstacle, or the like at the outside.
