PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of ensuring braking performance by restricting turn-up of an edge part of a block to exhibit the edge effect sufficiently. SOLUTION: A center block 24 is disposed outside of a center rib 16 in the tire width direction through a narrow groove 18, and a shoulder block 32 is disposed outside of a shoulder rib 26 in the tire width direction through a shallow groove 28. In the case of a high-input or a dry road, the edge part on a lag groove side may be turned up by friction with the road surface, but since the center block is adjacent to the center rib 16 and the shoulder block 32 is adjacent to the shoulder rib 26 and the center rib 16 acts to restrict deformation of the center block 24 and the shoulder rib 26 acts to restrict deformation of the shoulder block 24, turn-up of the edge part on the lug groove side of each block can be restricted, and sufficient braking performance can be exhibited even in the case of a high-input or a dry road.
